If I work with you as a book coach or editor, can I still pitch you as an agent?

Unfortunately for ethical reasons, as an agent, I could not take on a project I have worked on and received compensation. You could, however, query me with a project I have never seen before. Working with me at Story & Prose would not guarantee me bringing you on as an agency client.

If I work with you, can you guarantee that I will find an agent or get a publishing contract?

No, unfortunately I cannot. Given the unpredictable nature of the industry, I cannot make any such guarantee. I can, however, help make sure your book is in the best shape possible, so you can have a better shot at achieving your writing goals.

Which genres do you specialize in?

I have the most experience working with Young Adult and Middle Grade novels, but would also be thrilled to work on adult fiction, particularly in the women's fiction, historical fiction, romance, mystery, and fantasy genres.

Are there any books you don't work on?

I am not the best person to coach authors writing non-fiction, adult horror, or political thrillers.
